Taiping Lake Garden is located near to Malaysia oldest town and being the most beautiful lake garden in Malaysia. The tranquility, beautiful lake view and misty mountain scenery are the attractiveness to this place. Taiping Lake is easily accessible from North-South Highway of Peninsula Malaysia.
The oldest lake gardens in the country, this park sprawls over 62
hectares at the foot of the hill resort of Bukit Larut. The unforgettable sight
here is the huge, ancient angsana trees with their drooping branches that seem
to defy the law of gravity. The
Taiping Lake Gardens was originally a mining site before it was established as
a public garden in 1880.

Taman Tasik Food Court
My trip to
Taiping Lake Gardens was perhaps so I couldn't recall if there were any
eateries near the lake. The facade overlooking the beautiful Taiping Lake
Garden. We settled for Taman Tasik Food Court for dinner after making two
loops. Within walking distance from the scenic stretch of rain trees, this
eatery also has ample car park. Operating 24 hours as indicated on the
signpost, it offers the choices of local hawker food including laksa, chicken
rice, noodles, western, a fair bit of Thai flavors and bak kut teh. On a hot
afternoon, this eatery is certainly not a spot one would stay long. Heat
transmitted from zinc roof and dirty public toilets chased us away as soon as
we filled up our hungry mouths. Despite the flip side, the bak kut teh was good
and the bean sprout chicken rice was up to par.
